How it works: 755 nm and melanin
Light energy is absorbed by melanin in the hair and converted into heat. The growth-active hair root is disrupted. Not every hair is in the right phase at once – hence several sessions.
The Alexandrite laser (755 nm) is one of the classic wavelengths for hair removal – especially when dark hair on lighter skin offers enough contrast.
Single prices and package benefits – no hidden costs.
This page explains the principle, suitability and a factual comparison with diode laser, Nd:YAG and IPL – without putting competitors down.

Alexandrite suits lighter skin types with dark hair classically. For darker skin or a tan we prioritise safety and can switch to Nd:YAG. Details: laser hair removal for dark skin in Munich.
Motus PRO cooling supports a low-pain feel. Session count and spacing follow zone and hair cycle – not an advertising promise.
Decision for Alexandrite, Nd:YAG or combination.
Shaving, no waxing, UV distance.
Zone by zone, low-pain for most.
Sun protection and care notes.
At 755 nm, melanin in the hair shaft and root absorbs strongly. The resulting heat damages the growth-active hair root – the basis for hair reduction over several sessions.
Classically for lighter skin types with dark hair. For darker skin we also use Nd:YAG in the Motus PRO – we discuss this after skin type assessment.
So we can adapt parameters to skin tone and zone instead of one wavelength for everyone. That increases safety and flexibility.
With Motus PRO cooling, most people experience the session as low-pain. Sensation is individual and zone-specific.
Alexandrite and diode lasers are lasers with a fixed wavelength; IPL is intense flash light with a spectrum. Which technology fits depends on skin, hair and device – not on the marketing name alone.
We are happy to explain how it works and its safety features in your consultation.
You should avoid strong sun and solarium around sessions. Details are in the preparation & aftercare guide.
You can request appointments via Treatwell or WhatsApp. In the first consultation we set wavelength and plan.
